Do’s:
• Catch people’s attention with better content (edited photos (more vibrant) & videos (shorter & more action)
• Engage with people by using e.g. questions on IG

VIDEO IDEAS
GENERAL MOOD
– Typical day: What is a day of volunteering
– A quick tour of the Palapa Hostel (from entrance to the end)
– Surf report, show the waves (maybe put different timing) and people surfing.
– El Transito Surf spots description
– Rent a board in El Transito: the options
– Volunteers working with music
– Review from people/Volunteers, can be in different languages but keep one topic
ADVISES (BY VALENTINE):
→ Have a rhythm to post (not too much, not too less) I advice you to have a schedule to give appointment to your community for example : Monday (post of objective of the week, Wednesday post of the vibes/the environment in El Transito, Saturday post of the accomplishment of the week)
→ Be careful with post who look like a commercial “Tropical Beach Lifestyle” it could be view like fake
→ Instagram is the place to share beautiful pictures, try to do your best with it ! Don’t add some text on your photo. The photos should stand on their own
→ Ask to the volunteers (if they post on their personal social network) to tag your page in order to have more visibility, more tag on your page and to re-post on your story
→ Try to make reels with videos or photos (30s / 1 min max) with the top music of the moment. You can use directly Instagram to create or CAPCUT app
→ I advice to you to do a kind of footbridge between YouTube and Instagram. When you post a video on YouTube, try to make a small real about it and post in your feed and story with the link to encourage people to check your new videos

● El Transito (explanation of the village, location, how to get here, where is located the Palapa Hostel)
● Meet us – pages with a few words about your story, your family
● Volunteer Life – first, explanation of how people can work with you and what you expect from them.
● Surf – that’s a big reason for why people come, a few pretty, designed pictures of surf in El Transito, conditions, and we need just raw videos of volunteers going surfing after work etc
● Project Explanation
These are the main points we want people to see when they first open the Instagram. Not
all stories must be this edited, but for the saved ones we want to show the main points
Content Ideas :
– 1 Reels by month to show the progress of the works
– Every beginning of the month share with post your objectives with your community, and every end of the month share the evolution.
– Try to do, at least, 1 or 2 stories by week. Need to be consistent, unplanned, real.
– Create 3 post about your project that you can PIN on your feed in order to present your project : Video of presentation – Photo lifestyle of El Transito – Post to encourage volunteering apply. Do a little description on your post to explain.
Volunteer Recruitment / Management
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
HANDS-ON WORKER – 1 week minimum (10-12 people)
No specific skills required, self motivation and team spirit :
– The main task is anything with the current needs onsite
– Manage the garden/plants/water
– Build more dry toilets/showers
– Build a storage room
– Build a shared kitchen
– Build furniture’s such as bunkbed, tables, chairs (wood)
– Crafting and decoration
WELL BEING VOLUNTEER MANAGER – 1 month min (1p)
Organized, easygoing, friendly.
Speaking english and spanish (intermediate required) to ensure good communication
– Ensure the communication
– Handle check-in/out
– Help to organise the different volunteering projects
– Creating fun activities for the free time
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER – 2 weeks min (2p)
One the following is enough to help us !
– Manage an organisation’s online presence by developing a strategy
– Manage social network platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
– Creating content : photo / vidéo

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT & COMMUNICATION
Goal → Recruit new volunteers + Promote the project
– 10 best sites/groups as Volunteer/Backpacking… to post for recruitment campaigns.
– Several community groups and/or in agreement with the philosophy of the project (Natural building/Permaculture/Surf/Ecology)
– Use the key texts (Recruit new volunteers (EN/ES/FR) matching the language of the sites/groups to present the project.

Goals
– Get more followers on Instagram / Facebook
– Recruit new volunteers
